Exercise to Increase Vertical Leap -
There are various exercises that you can use to increase your vertical leap. In most training regime’s this will consist of 3 different types of exercise systems including traditional weight training (for power and overall strength), dynamic weight training (for explosiveness and speed bursts) and plyometric training (for flexibility and agility).

Contrary to popular belief, hammering your legs away on the leg press machine, squat rack and calf raise machine won’t enable you to increase your vertical leap. This is one of the major topic’s in Luke Lowrey’s book ‘the Vertical Project. Lifting to failure is inferior for increasing your vertical leap and explosive speeds because as your muscles get closer to the point of failure, they become sloppy and generate less and less power.
